Even though I spent most of this week writing, trying to catch up to ensure I hit my yearly goal, I did get out for two days of exploring.
The first adventure was catching the ferry over to Kowloon and exploring the various markets, including the goldfish market and the flower market. It was fun, wandering around, trying to get lost (I didn't) and getting to see another side, literally, of the city.
Then, on Sunday, my sister and I did a food tour. It was actually called a Won-ton-A-Thon although a lot more than won tons were included. I've never done a food tour before and having someone else's knowledge made it a whole different experience. I'll post in more detail later in the week if I get a chance.
I also went to the "longest escalator in the world" which isn't actually an escalator but a moving walkway that goes uphill and isn't even continuous. Lame. So lame. My quest to find the longest escalator in the world continues.
By the way, the longest escalator in the Southern Hemisphere is at Parliament Station in Melbourne. It's really long. Trust me, when you are running late for your train and you have to bolt down that thing, you get a very whoozy stomach.
