If you ever intend on coming to Chiang Mai in January, here's the most important tip you'll need to know: make sure your accommodation has heating.
You might think that Thailand is all sunshine and hot weather but there's just been a cold snap. Not that cold, in Tasmania it'd be considered nice weather, but when you're in a space that's designed to stay cold in the heat, definitely not nice!
I was so cold in my apartment yesterday, with a lukewarmish shower and a single thin blanket on my bed, the wind blowing through the louvre windows and the air con only blowing out cold air. I had on most of the clothes in my backpack, enough layers to make moving difficult and I was still cold.
So, I thought fuck this shit, and booked myself into a hotel for two nights. Beats the heck out of hypothermia.
So, what have been up to this week? Not a helluva lot. I've fallen into a Korean drama hole. The drama is called Hyde, Jekyll and I and it's possibly the worst drama ever made. Worst. But I can't stop watching it.
I've also eaten a lot of food and put off going to the doctor. Getting blood tests is one of the main things I want to do here but they are fasting tests and I keep forgetting to not eat! Then today I went to the medical centre and they have all these package deals so now I've contacted my doctor to find out what's best and am waiting for him to reply.
I also found out the medial centre has a $75 botox deal. I'm curious but I think if I was going to do anything, I'd go the lip pumping. I've always wanted to see what I'd look like with plump lips. Instead of, you, know, a plump belly (more like 'as well as').
And that's about it. Wrote some words, ate some foods, procrastinated some doing.
